The third volume of the trilogy "Jews of Vinnychchyna in the period of World War 2. Little known documents and New Interpretations", dedicated to the 55th anniversary of the Great Victory over nazism was published by the local publishing house "Anthex". The volume of the book - 335 pages of A4 size. The author of the book - Faina Vinokurova, the professional historian - archivist, the Vice - Director of the State Archives of Vinnitsa region, the Meritorious Worker of Culture of Ukraine - devoted the book to the Jews - citizens of Vinnitsa, the participants of the battles at the war fronts and the toilers of the rear. Vinokurova is the author of 30 articles and publications, 3 documentary collections on the scientific problems of the Holocaust and Heroism of the Jewish people in the war years. The book is the part of the other two volumes scientific investigation about the genocide of the Jewish population on the territory of Vinnitsa region occupied by the German - Rumanian invaders and II - about the participation of Jews in the partisan movements an underground struggle with nazism are supposed to publish in the nearest future.

   The books contain the unique documents from the funds of the German and Rumanian authorities, the testimonies of the eyewitness' and survived he Holocaust, various certificates, recollections, the author's essays, photos, schemes, copies of the maps. The third volume is the documentary collection about 149 personalities and informs about 500 people whose names are connected with the heroes of the book. In the introduction "The destiny of Jews of Vinnychchyna in the context of the development of the national military tradition and the general opposition to nazism" the author analyses the development of the military tradition in Ukraine in Podilla from the XIV century to 1945. The following parts are included to the book:
      1. Jews - citizens of Vinnitsa in the different troops at the fronts of World War
      2. Jews - doctors of the region in the war with nazism
      3. Journalists and propagandists during World War 2.
      4. Jews of Vinnychchyna at the labor grunt of the great Patriotic War.
The value of the edition is that the author presents the unique, little known documents into scientific turn of speech. Vinokurova elucidates the participation of Jews in World War II, proves that Jews were not only passive victims but also active fighters with nazism. The book will promote to the growth of the national awareness and dignity of the Jewish people.
